The City of Camden and the Arts Center of Kershaw County are proud to invite you to the Spring Blankets & Bands Concert Series!

Blankets & Bands brings some of the best talent around to our very own Town Green for an evening of food and fun! The event will last from 6:00 to 8:30 pm each Thursday, with our headliner beginning at 6:30 pm (weather permitting of course). Bring a picnic dinner or get takeaway from one of our fantastic local restaurants! Beer and wine are permitted, but glass containers are not.

April 18 – New Old Friends

The musicians of New Old Friends met here in Camden, South Carolina and quickly bonded over our shared love of tried-and-true sounds shined up with fresh arrangements. Each member brings a unique musical flavor to the band. The group is known to jump genres and mash up influences, making for memorable sets and happy audiences.

May 2 – Brighter Beginnings

Brighter Beginnings has roots in Southern Gospel, R&B, and Soul music. As the nieces and nephews of the late Brook Benton of Lugoff, SC, this group has music running in their veins. Brianna Grant, Brooke-Lynn Grant, Leyia Grant, and Nigel Grant grew up in a family who sang together and were later joined by Isaiah Woods when he joined in singing with them on the youth choir at their home church, Unity United Methodist Church of Lugoff, SC.

May 16 – Flat Out Strangers

Join us at Blankets & Bands as we swing with The Flat Out Strangers. Describing themselves as a vocal gypsy swing & jazz band, this group’s timeless style will have you dancing on the Town Green in no time!

May 30 – 10 Cent Rich

Known for sets featuring classic hits and classic rock, 10 Cent Rich has become a staple of the Camden music scene. Don’t miss their performance as we close out the spring season of Blankets & Bands!
