Come to the Bassett Gallery to experience FRUIT OF THE VINE: The Paintings of Whitney LeJeune. This show is coming to us by way of the private collection of LeJeune’s work that was commissioned for the labels of INNATE WINES releases.

MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST AND SHOW: While the female form is Whitney’s primary subject, crafted to convey a mood or experience with color, form and composition, this collection is unique in that each canvas and figure is inspired by the tasting of a unique-soon to be bottled wine. . . Flavor, aroma, story of the grape, vineyard location, stories from the winemaker about making that particular wine. They each embody and capture the character of a distinct wine and the winemaker’s effort. Whitney majored in Painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design earning her BFA in 2009. Whitney currently paints and lives in Charleston, SC with her husband and two young daughters
